Homie Hub 2025 Updates

Hello friends!

I can't believe it's been almost a year since we last (blog)posted. I'm going to go straight to the point and fill you in what's been going on and what's to come.

In as much transparency as I can muster without boring you with all the details, here are the reasons we have been quiet for so long:

• Business: Your favorite local play space, though dead for play in the summer, stayed open all summer long and celebrated quite a few birthday parties. We are eternally grateful for our summer birthday party celebrants, as there is no way we would have paid the bills to carry us into the winter if not for them. 

Oh, and did you know we even had Stitch, Mickey and Minnie stop in for a quick play time with some friends? Sooo much fun!

• Work: Looking at the effects of 2 brutal summers with backed-up bills and hardly enough to keep us open till winter, there was need for an immediate cash infusion. I made the difficult decision to return to fulltime work for the first time in 5 years. This has been a hard adjustment for our entire family for several reasons. Add that to me personally building out our mini apps in the middle of the night with everyone in bed, being active on social media therefore naturally took bottom priority and eventually fell off.
• Family: Piggybacking off the last point, our family's needs have been significantly increased in this season - with some health issues and new diagnoses we've had to come to terms with (more on that much later). Again, the last thing we could get to was social media activity - so, we didn't.

Now you know what we've been up to, here is what we have to look forward to:

• Expansion 🎉
  • We're relaunching our website! Brand new website to drop by middle of the week. We have tons of exciting events planned for Christmas and New Year and the rest of the winter season.
  • We're launching an HHA (Homie Hub Ambassadors) Program - more on that later
  • We're launching a number of mini apps for family and parenting. The goal is to infuse cash from these apps into keeping the Homie Hub operative and growing into a larger space. You can spy some of them already up on our old website. 

We appreciate each and everyone of you who have been diligent about checking on us, stopping by, using our services and encouraging us. We especially appreciate those who have graciously waited as it took us forever to get back to messages and emails. 

We are looking to hire as we expand (more on that later), but first and foremost, we need to get cash in, and we're hoping to make that happen (with your support) as we expand into the digital space.
